Breast Self Examination Kit comes with Glove, DVD, Calendar, Instruction Leaflet and Storage Pouch
Self Examination takes only ten minutes a month and can save your life. it takes no longer than putting on your make up or washing and drying your hair!
We partner with others to promote breast awareness.
The Be Breast Aware pack is designed to encourage women to develop the habit of checking their breasts regularly to know what their breasts look and feel like at different times of the month so that they can notice any changes and check them out with their doctor as soon as possible. The pack includes:
- Breast Sense glove;
- Multilingual instructional DVD;
- Instructional booklet; and
- Two-year calendar.
This pack will teach women the correct technique for self-examination, address misconceptions about risk factors, causes and symptoms of breast cancer, and encourage breast self-examination to become a comfortable routine that overcomes cultural barriers.
The Breast Sense glove is based on the discovery that the sense of touch is enhanced, rather than diminished, when two layers of a pliable, elastic material with little friction between them are placed between the fingertips and the object being touched. Breast Sense is made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) which combines the mechanical and physical properties of rubber to ensure high performance and general overall toughness. It includes a pocket containing mineral oil that is hypoallergenic and non-toxic to aid breast self-examination by reducing friction and magnifying the sense of touch.
'I believe that if I had checked my breasts regularly, then it wouldn't have got that far. I went on to have chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I now carry out regular Breast Self-exam using Breast Sense.'
Mrs D.B., Brighton, UK
'I shall continue using your wonderful aid when carrying out all my future breast self-examination and have encouraged my daughter to do the same.'

'The DVD will be a very good aid for some of my pupils who need to see a practical demonstration on how to examine their breasts and the best positions to do this in.'
